Overview
The CI Outreach group is responsible for proactively soliciting and supporting the education, training, and outreach needs of the scientific research projects within the cyberinfrastructure community, and then design, develop and deliver multimedia content that meets those needs in ways that are easy to access by K-20. Particular attention will be given to proactively engaging under-represented populations, including women, minorities and people with disabilities from majority and minority serving institutions, as researchers, partners, educators, leaders, and regular users of cyberinfrastructure.

The San Diego Supercomputer Center and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications are international leaders in data management, biosciences, geosciences, grid computing and visualization. Our mission is to develop educational tools that help students and educators understand and solve problems, all based on research conducted at both centers.
